Slow Cooker French Toast
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 2-2 ½ hours
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup milk
1 Tablespoon vanilla
¼–½ cup granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
1 French bread loaf, cut into
1. Whisk together eggs, heavy whipping cream, milk and vanilla. Add sugar and cinnamon and whisk until sugar is dissolved and well blended.
2. Spray a slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place one layer of sliced bread in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour 1 cup of egg, milk and sugar mixture over the sliced bread. Place another layer of sliced bread in the slow cooker. Pour in an additional 1 cup of the egg, milk and sugar mixture. Repeat 1-2 times until bread and liquid are gone.
3. Cook 2–2 ½ hours on high.
4. Remove French Toast from the slow cooker and spoon onto individual plates. Serve with additional cinnamon sugar, maple syrup or confectioners’ sugar, if desired.
