Overnight Banana-Cinnamon Oatmeal

Overnight Banana-Cinnamon Oatmeal is a delicious breakfast on the go.

It’s summer, and we are all about low-maintenance meals that let you spend as much quality time as possible outside, soaking up the sun. With banana-cinnamon oatmeal that bakes overnight in your slow cooker, a tasty chicken sandwich that is marinated and then grilled to perfection, and a fresh-ingredients salad topped with strawberries and some extra chicken you cooked up at lunch, this day of meals is sure to have you enjoying your food—and then heading back outside for more summer fun!



Overnight Banana-Cinnamon Oatmeal

Serves: 4
Prep time: 5 minutes • Cook time: 8 hours

2 cups old-fashioned oats (Note: Don’t use instant or quick-cooking type)
3 ½ cups water
2 cups milk
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
¼ cup brown sugar
2 bananas, mashed
1 banana, sliced for garnish (optional)

1. Using nonstick cooking spray, thoroughly spray the bottom and sides of the slow cooker insert.
2. Add the old-fashioned oats, water, milk, cinnamon and brown sugar to the slow cooker. Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated.
3. Cover and cook on the low setting for 8 hours.
4. Prior to serving, stir in the mashed bananas. Garnish with additional banana slices, if desired.



Cleanup can be a breeze when you use a pot liner. Sometimes, one of the most annoying parts of using a slow cooker such as a Crockpot is the after-meal cleanup. Make cleanup a cinch by using a plastic liner insert. Found in most grocery and discount stores, these liners make using a simple tool such as a slow cooker even easier.
