Frozen Choco-banana Pops

Makes 12 popsicles
Prep time: 15 minutes
Rest time: 1 hour

1 14-ounce bag of dark cooking chocolate
12 popsicle sticks
4 bananas, cut into thirds

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Melt chocolate in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted.
3. Dip about ½ an inch at the end of each stick into the melted chocolate, and then insert into a banana chunk. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Repeat for all the 12 banana chunks and place in the freezer for a few minutes to harden. This step will stop the bananas from falling off of the sticks later.
5. Remove the banana pops from the freezer and dip each into melted chocolate; use a tablespoon to thoroughly coat bananas with chocolate. Cover with sugar sprinkles or other toppings if desired.
6. Return the pops to the freezer for 1 hour or until firm.

Tantalizing Tips

These pops are a fun twist on classic frozen bananas on a stick, and you can vary the chocolate colors and flavors to suit your taste. Get creative with toppings: try dried fruits or your favorite nuts. To prevent the bananas from browning, lightly coat them with lemon juice.
