The next time your kids ask if they can have cookies for breakfast, you can answer with a resounding yes! As long as they are having these nutritious and tasty breakfast cookies, you can feel good about giving them cookies while still providing a wholesome way to start the day.

Honey Oatmeal Breakfast Cookies

Makes 12-16 cookies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes

1 ½ cups quick cooking oats
2 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup Rice Krispies cereal
¼ cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
¼ cup pure honey
¼ cup Craisins sweetened dried cranberries
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until well incorporated.
3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
4. Place rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten with a spoon.
5. Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove and let rest for 3 minutes on the baking sheet before placing cookies on a cooling rack.
